New Chief for the Frankfort Fire Department Announced

FRANKFORT, Ind. – Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets announced today via a press release she has appointed a new Chief for the Frankfort Fire Department.

Effective December 2, 2021, Captain Matt Stidham will be appointed Operational Chief of Frankfort Fire Department. John Kirby, outgoing fire chief, will remain as Administrative Chief for the transition period through December 31, 2021. Effective January 1, 2022, Matt Stidham will be the sole appointed Chief for the Frankfort Fire Department.

“This appointment will continue to propel the Department’s operations and personnel for the future growth of our Frankfort Community,” said Frankfort Mayor Sheets.
