This past Wednesday, 07/29/2020, Boone County Sheriff Michael Nielsen had the honor of swearing in and deputizing Caleb Anderson as a Boone County Sheriff‘s Office Special Deputy. We were able to have Caleb and his family come for this celebration and swearing-in ceremony. K-9 Deputy Clint Stewart and K-9 Deputy Taylor Nielsen were there with Makya and Arco to congratulate Deputy Caleb. Many of our other staff attended, including Chief Deputy Tony Harris.
We surprised Caleb with a full uniform, donated by Nelson & Co. Uniforms, including tactical boots! Caleb has a love for all Law Enforcement and especially wants to be a K9 handler when he grows up. Caleb is battling an Autoimmune Disease and is such a fighter. He shows so much courage and bravery every day. We have learned from Caleb that when we are faced with difficulties in life that we fight with everything we have. Keep fighting Deputy Caleb, we will always be in your corner.
Sheriff Nielsen stated, “A special thanks to Nelson & Co. Uniforms for their generous donation and to my BCSO admin staff for helping me coordinate something that this young man will never forget, nor will I. Caleb’s theme is, “Fight Courageously”, we can all learn from this. Prayers to Caleb and his family. We love you guys.”
