Mrs. Pamela Diana Beason, 75, passed away Wednesday, Jun 29, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born on May 19, 1947, in Lebanon, Indiana, a daughter of the late Elmer E. “Bub” Johnson and Doretha M. “Dee” (Kriebel) Rhodes.
Diana was first married to Harold Ranney and he passed away in October 1973. On August 17, 1974, she was united in marriage to Alvin Dale Beason in Lebanon. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2020.
Raised in Boone County, Diana was a 1965 graduate of Thorntown High School. She had worked for Kmart, Birch Vending Company and the Lebanon Head Start Program throughout the years. Diana attended Hope Community Church in Lebanon and held memberships with the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), Good Sam Club, and the Lebanon Home Economics Club. She loved traveling around on the motorcycle and camping with friends. She also loved being a grandma.
Survivors include five children, Susan Woodard of Lebanon, Michael (Angie) Ranney of Lebanon, Jennifer Beason of Oldsmar, Florida, Jeffrey Ranney of Lebanon, and Abby Dunn of Frankfort; eight grandchildren, Hailey (Martin) Gorham, Dustin (Sylvia) Ranney, Erica (Jessie) McPeak, Brett (Angela) James, Colton (Kelcie) Ranney, Bailey Minor, Olivia Ranney, and Brooklyn Woodard; six great grandchildren, Brayden, Brystol, Lena, Amara, Mavis, and Ridley; a niece, Ami (Donny) Ball of Lebanon; and great nephew, Cooper Ball.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Diana was preceded in death by a son, Tim Beason; her sister and brother-in-law, Dixie and Ronald Wynkoop; and stepfather, Robert “Rocky” Rhodes.
Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
