This serves as an update into the investigation of the motor vehicle collision that occurred on September 12th, 2024 in the area of State Road 32 and 500 West.
Monday afternoon our office received forensic confirmation of the identify from our partners at the Indiana State Police Forensic Laboratory. Mr. Paul J. Jackson, age 45, and resident of Michigan passed away as the result of injuries sutained in the collision.
Our thoughts go out to Mr. Jackson, his family, and all those impacted by this incident.

On September 12, 2024, at approximately 5:00 PM, emergency services responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at State Road 32 near 500 West in Lebanon, Indiana. Upon arrival, it was determined that the SUV, occupied by one adult female and three juveniles, sustained minor injuries, all of whom were evaluated and released at the scene.
Tragically, the motorcycle operator, an adult male, succumbed to his injuries at the collision site. The crash team has been dispatched to conduct a thorough investigation. Out of respect for the deceased and pending notification of next of kin, identities will not be disclosed at this time. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
