An Indiana State Police trooper who was struck by a car on I-865 Wednesday morning is in serious but stable condition.
Trooper Ronneal Williams had pulled over a van near the 4 mile marker of I-865 east for a traffic stop, according to an ISP press release.
Williams was standing on the passenger side of the van when a car driven by Ramon Michel Jr., 19, of Indianapolis, veered onto the shoulder and hit the back of Williams’ police cruiser, according to the release. The impact caused the cruiser to hit the back of the van, which hit Williams and sent him over the guardrail, according to the release. More details in The Lebanon Reporter.
