Susie Roberta “Bert” Hale, 67, passed away at home in Jamestown, Indiana, on December 23, 2019 with family by her side. She was born June 1, 1952, in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Myrtle (Taylor) McKinney.
Bert attended school at Granville Wells and was a faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy in Jamestown. For a period of time, she had worked for the Blue & White Truck Stop in Pittsboro.
Lovingly known as one who spoke her mind, Bert truly loved her family, friends, and church family.

In addition to her parents, Bert was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Melissa; three brothers, J.B. McKinney, Truman McKinney and Sherman McKinney; and two sisters, Dollie Smith and Norma Martin.
There will be no public services. Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her care.
