Chad Grimball
Tuesday, Chad Michael Grimball, age 42, of Thorntown was sentenced by Judge Bruce Petit to 195 years in prison for the execution style murders of Grace Bishop, Brannon Martin, and Larry Stogsdill in September of 2021.
On August 29, 2023, a Boone County Jury found Chad Michael Grimball (Thorntown, IN age 42) guilty of three counts of murder following a seven-day jury trial in Boone Circuit Court presided over by Judge Bruce Petit. Grimball was convicted of the following charges:
Count I: Murder
Count II: Murder
Count III: Murder
Counts IV: Carrying a Handgun without a License, an A Misdemeanor
When asked to comment on the sentence, Prosecutor Eastwood stated: “Today’s sentence means that the Defendant will never walk free again. He will spend the rest of his life in prison for the heinous and cowardly acts he committed that day. The verdict and sentence are a testament to our investigative and trial team commitment to achieving justice for the families of Grace, Brannon, Larry, and our community – We Thank You.”
