On May 21, 2023, at approximately 01:26 AM, a FPD Officer observed a vehicle commit moving violations in the area of E Walnut St & S Young St. After a traffic stop was conducted, FPD K-9 Athena performed a free- air exterior sniff of the vehicle. After an investigation, the driver, Christopher Leopard, 46, of Frankfort was arrested on several drug charges. “Our patrol officers are very active and passionate about taking illicit drugs off our streets. Credit also goes to K-9 Athena. All four FPD K-9’s are great tools that are regularly being utilized to help make our community safer,” said Deputy Chief Cesar Muñoz.

Monday, the following charges were formally filed by the Clinton County Indiana Prosecutor’s Office:
-Dealing in methamphetamine, Level 2 Felony
– Possession of methamphetamine, Level 4 Felony
-Unlawful possession or use of a legend drug, a Level 6 Felony
-Possession of a controlled substance, a Class A Misdemeanor
-Possession of paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor
Habitual offender was also filed.
