On Tuesday, a judge gave Andrew Wilhoite a 30-year sentence in the Indiana Department of Correction for the death of Elizabeth “Nikki” Wilhoite, with credit for time already served. In April, a jury found Wilhoite guilty of voluntary manslaughter instead of murder. The jurors couldn’t reach a unanimous decision on the murder charge and concluded that Wilhoite acted in a moment of “sudden heat.”
