The 2018 Boone County primary election season kicked off Wednesday at 8 a.m., with 13 candidates registering to run by day’s end.
The list included a handful of current officials looking for a different office or a bump up the next level. For example, prosecutor Todd Meyer registered to run as a Republican for circuit court judge, while his chief deputy prosecutor, Kent Eastwood, registered to run as a Republican for prosecutor.
