Rodney Wayne Mills, 60, formally of Whitestown, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his home in Avon, Indiana. He was born in Clinton, Indiana, on February 5, 1959; a son of the late the late Robert Keith and Dorotha Mae (DeBolt) Mills.
Rodney graduated from Lebanon High School in 1977 and attended Ball State University. While at Ball State he played in a blue grass band and was great with a guitar and keyboard.
He was a dedicated LPN and worked thirty five years for various agencies. He also enjoyed old classic TV shows, and camping with mom and grandma. Rodney was a member Whitestown Methodist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Brian Mills of Whitestown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Mills.
Funeral Services are planned for Monday, October 21, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home in Lebanon.
Inurnment of ashes will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or Boone County Cancer Society, 117 West Elm Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his care.
