Dr. Alex Joseph Koehler, 41, of Old Bridge, NJ, originally from Lebanon, Indiana passed away November 24, 2021. He was born on October 28, 1980, in Lebanon, Indiana to David and MaryAnne Koehler. Alex was a graduate of Lebanon High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, Master’s from Purdue University and obtained his MBA. Alex received his MD from St. Matthew’s School of Medicine.
He had a passion for teaching and touched many lives within the medical community. Alex was an avid sports fan of Indiana University, Indianapolis Colts, and the New York Yankees. He was an accomplished artist, the life of the party, never met a stranger, had a heart of gold, and was loved by all.
Alex had a way of making anyone feel welcomed and at ease in his presence. He was truly one of a kind. Alex will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Alex is survived by his loving parents, David and MaryAnne Koehler; daughter, Catherine Grace Koehler, companion, Ro Matias; brothers, David Koehler Jr., (Pamela) and Joseph Koehler (Kelly); Nephews, David Koehler III and Theo Koehler.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana.
Memorial Service is planned following visitation at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, at the funeral home in Lebanon.
Burial of Ashes will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana. Myers Mortuary in Lebanon has been entrusted with his care.
Private services were held on November 29, 2021, at the Old Bridge Funeral Home in Old Bridge, New Jersey.
