Mrs. Olive Eleanor Stephenson,100, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was just shy of turning 101 years old. Olive was born in Boone County, Indiana on March 29, 1921; a daughter of the late Claude O. and Flora May (Rood) Timmons.
She was a 1939 graduate of Lebanon High School. On November 13, 1940, she was married to William Eugene “Gene” Stephenson, he passed away on June 15, 2000.
Olive was a faithful member of Elizaville Christian Church. She was homemaker and proud farm wife. Olive loved living on the farm, which included everything from raising chickens, canning and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Devoted to her family, Olive loved cooking family meals and adored her grandchildren immensely.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Kinder of Brookston, Indiana; five grandchildren, John Kinder, Ty Kinder, Tobie Yeatman, Jason Stephenson, Trisha Krout; nine great grandchildren
Deceased: In addition to her parents and her husband, Olive was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Stephenson; a sister, Rudy Hoffman and a nephew, Gary Hoffman.
Visitation is planned for Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street in Lebanon, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held following visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in Lebanon.
