Miss Mary Anne Mohr, 77, of Lebanon, died Monday, July 4, 2022, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Mary was born Oct. 30, 1944, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Robert C. Mohr and Opal (Umsted) Mohr.

Mary graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1962, and continued on to Ball State University receiving her Master’s degree. She taught at Central Elementary School for over 40 years, where she was referred to as Miss Mohr by countless students. Mary was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Indiana State Teachers Association, the Ball State Alumni Association, and the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Mary was also a longtime member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her brother, Robert C. (Jean) Mohr II of Frankfort; nephew, Robert “Rob” C. (Jasmine) Mohr III of Virginia; a niece, Meaghan (Brett) Dyess of Georgia; as well as great nieces and nephews, Ammon and Dahlia Mohr and Garrett and Mallori Dyess. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Jean Mohr.

Family and friends will gather Friday, July 8, for visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Mary will be laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery in Lebanon.
