Elmer Parks
The Annual Aaron Stookey Spirit of Philanthropy Award has been announced! The 2023 recipient is the late Elmer Parks, who becomes the 18th recipient of this award. Elmer was an active member of the New Hope Christian Church, the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, the Salvation Army, the Boone County Chamber of Commerce, the Boone County Mentoring Partnership, the Boone County Cancer Society, the Ulen Town Council, and many other local organizations.
His family awarded the 300-dollar grant that accompanies the award to the Boone County Mentoring Partnership as Elmer spent countless hours counseling employees and friends in times of trouble and mentoring young people.
