John D. Baldwin Sr., one of the men who fled police with the man accused of killing a Boone County Sheriff’s deputy in March, was charged this week with intimidation and possession of a narcotic drug, heroin. He was charged Monday with intimidation after a man said Baldwin, 55, threatened to cut his throat and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was found in a Lebanon motel room Wednesday, sleeping next to 1.1 grams of heroin wrapped in six foil packets, Lebanon Police Officer Justin Knox reported.
