Barbara Head, 81, died May 14, 2020, with her family beside, in her home in Lebanon, IN.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Mon., May 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. The funeral service will be held on Tues., May 19 at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by a 3 p.m. burial service at Lincoln Memory Gardens, 6851 S. Indianapolis Road, Whitestown.

Barbara was born in Berlin, Germany on Jan. 13, 1939, to the late Hans and Tusnelda Anding. She first came to America as an exchange student her senior year of high school. She went back to Germany, became a dentist and worked for the American Field Services. She moved permanently to America when she was 26. She lived in California where she raised two daughters and met her husband Charles Head.

She and Charles lived in many beautiful and unique places like Hollywood Beach, CA, Kauai, HI, Orcas Island, WA, and Crystal River, FL, before they moved to Indiana where Charles grew up. She was passionate about painting, loved the sunshine and peacefulness of nature. She enjoyed music, singing, dancing and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her gregarious charm!

She is survived by her two daughters, Tanja (Jeff) Remily and Jessica (Frank) Ladner; her loving husband, Charles; and her grandchildren, Jacob and Jordyn Remily.
