Mrs. Barbara L. Hamm, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Westfield, Indiana, on August 6, 1937, a daughter of the late Marvin G. and Ruthanna (Holmes) Eilar.
On July 8, 1956, Barbara was married to Donald D. Hamm in Whitestown, Indiana; he survives.
Barbara graduated from Whitestown High School in 1955. She worked at Mayflower Van Lines for 20 years in telecommunications, retiring in 1995. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Barbara loved taking care of her home and family and enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her husband, Donald D. Hamm of Lebanon; five children, Donita (Jim) Clouse of Glasgow, Kentucky, Ronda (Bob) Hull of Culleoka, Tennessee, Sandra (John) Anderson of Lebanon, Lisa (Gene) Albright of Portland, Texas, and Karla (Mike) Wildman of Thorntown; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and brother, Dwane (Sharon) Eilar of Lebanon.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alana Jane Anderson, and a brother, Phil Eilar.
Funeral Services are planned for Monday, January 9, 2023, at 12:00 noon, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Hutton Cemetery east of Whitestown, Indiana.
