Bettie was born June 26, 1950, in Milan, IN, a daughter of the late Calvin and Betty R. (Donselman) Hunteman. She married Ronald “Ronnie” Graham Parson on August 3, 1979. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2013.
Bettie graduated from South Ripley High School in 1968, where she was a majorette. She always enjoyed baking, and feeding people was her love language. She always had fun shopping, especially her trips to Goodwill, and she was a pro at clearance sale bargain finding. She enjoyed making crafts, most recently creating vases and candle holders and canvas paintings. Family and friends were always the most important to her, and she loved family gatherings and sharing meals, and talking to family on the phone. She was a kind and generous soul, and had an amazing smile. She treated friends like family and offered kindness and caring to those around her, including strangers. She was proud of her family and loved them all very much. Her family loved her too, and she will be deeply missed.
