Mrs. Betty Ann Linn, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born October 9, 1924, in Fairmount, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harry Ferrell and Merle Lillian (Smith) Williams.

At a young age, Betty and her family moved to Indianapolis then during her 3rd grade year, the family moved back to Fairmount. Betty spent her Junior and Senior years at Lafayette Jefferson High School, graduating in 1944. She took nursing classes at Home Hospital and Indianapolis General Hospital; and graduated in 1945 with a Registered Nursing degree.

On November 9, 1946, she was married to Henry Asbury Linn in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1997.

Betty worked at various hospitals in the area including: Home Hospital in Lafayette and Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Once her kids started school, she worked as a private duty nurse for Jack Porter’s patients. She ran clinics for a few years for Planned Parenthood and Boone and Hendricks counties. Betty was a nurse for Witham Memorial Hospital for many years along with the American Red Cross. She retired in 1984 and began volunteering at various places and taught Bible classes.

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lebanon and a member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority in Jamestown. Betty was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed flower arranging, crocheting, knitting and listening to music.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by one brother John Robert Williams.

Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon, in Lebanon, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana.
