Mrs. Betty L. Myers, 95, passed away Wednesday morning, February 22, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on October 8, 1927, a daughter of the late Moses and Mary Louise (Butler) Nease.

She was united in marriage to James S. Myers, Jr. on March 2, 1963, in Lebanon; he survives.

Betty worked as a cook at various schools for the Lebanon Community School Corporation as well as Pixie Playhouse. Prior to that, she had worked at Commercial Filters for a period of time.

She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Lebanon. Family was everything to Betty. She loved and adored her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensely. Betty enjoyed taking walks, sitting on the porch swing, gambling, and bowling. She and Jim spent 21 winters in North Ft. Myers, Florida.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Myers of Lebanon; children, Gloria J. (Mike) Brown of Beloit, Wisconsin, Terry L. (Marcia) Nelson of Lebanon, and James S. “Sam” (Mary) Myers, III of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Joyce (David) Hinkle of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jeffrey C. (Ashley) Nelson, Tabitha J. (Tommy) Crain, Mindy (Molly) Mills–Brown, Melissa Nelson, Missy (Robert) Wallace, Lauren (Blade) Lasley, Caleb Myers, Trevor Myers, and Eli Myers; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Melissa Ann; son, Garry C. Nelson; grandson, Terry L. “TJ” Nelson; brothers, Jerry Nease and Marvin Nicely; and sisters, Mary “Sid” Campbell, Mozelle Wyatt, Beverly Anderson, and Lottie Hale.

Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in her memory to the Lebanon Park District, 130 East Ulen Drive, Lebanon, IN 46052 for purchase of a tree at Memorial Park.
