At 5:44pm on Sunday, September 18, 2022, Boone County Communications received a report of a bicyclist struck in the 9500 Block of Indianapolis Road, Zionsville, Indiana. The bicyclist identified as Gary Favrot, 81 of Zionsville, was struck while riding on Indianapolis Road by a GMC Yukon driven by Deroyce Simmons, 41 of Zionsville. Mr. Simmons was not injured and has been cooperative. The crash is under investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Fatal Alcohol Crash Team.
