Heather Myers
The Boone County Commissioners are seeking answers for a payroll claim and a bill for an attorney submitted by Auditor Heather Myers. It’s unusual because the auditor is tasked with the bookkeeping and check-writing for county finances. Yet, the commissioners are concerned that Myers may have broken state, federal and county rules to pay a bonus to two employees.
Myers said she did nothing wrong and that this all stems from a contract with ADP that the commissioners approved and that she doesn’t think is good for county taxpayers. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
