The Boone County Council is holding a special public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Witham Pavilion at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds. The agenda has one item which is described in the legal notice as an “investigation to determine need of the justice center/jail structure.” Then the council will enter an executive session, which is closed to the public.
