The Boone County Sheriff’s Office continually evaluates how they can be more efficient and effective in serving the citizens of Boone County.
In order to do that the command staff has decided to make the following promotions.
Those promoted include, Colonel Tony Harris, Chief Deputy (promoted from the rank of Major)
Major Mike Beard, Operations Commander (promoted from the rank of Investigations Captain)
Captain Chris Helmer, Enforcement Division (promoted from the rank of Deputy)
911 Director Sam Sortor (promoted in July of 2020 from the rank of Communications Officer)
Lieutenant Jason Reynolds, Investigations Division (promoted from the rank of Sergeant)
Staff Sergeant Matthew Brennan, Corrections Division (promoted from the rank of Sergeant)
Administrative Sergeant Susan Kinney, Corrections Division (promoted from the rank of Corrections Officer assigned to Administration)
Sergeant Leon Golladay, Crime Scene Investigations (promoted from the rank of Corporal
Sergeant Dakota Carlton, Corrections (promoted from the rank of Corrections Officer)
