Boone County Treasurer Debbie Ottinger is reminding everyone that the Boone County tax rates have been posted and the 2017 pay 2018 Boone County Tax Statements can be viewed on the Boone County Website at www.boonecounty.in.gov.

Tax Statements are scheduled to be mailed on Friday, April 6, 2018 and THAT MAILING IS THE ONLY NOTIFICATION TAXPAYERS WILL RECEIVE. The mailing will provide two payment coupons, one for Spring and one for Fall, as well as an information sheet that compares the previous and current year’s tax amount and tax rate. If a mortgage company is responsible for making the tax payment, the taxpayer will receive the information sheet but no payment coupons.

The Spring Installment must be paid or post-marked on or before May 10, 2018, and the Fall Installment must be paid or post-marked on or before November 13, 2018. The following forms of payment can be mailed or made at the Treasurer’s Office: cash (do not mail), personal check, money order or cashier’s check. Credit card payments are only accepted on line and the information can be found at the county website. Taxpayers have the option of paying both the Spring and Fall installments during the Spring tax collection.

Included with the tax statements will be an information sheet providing all Boone County Taxpayers with a choice of going paperless and receiving their 2018 pay 2019 tax statement by e-mail. E-STATEMENTS are an option not a requirement.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Boone County Treasurer’s Office at (765) 482-2880. Office hours are 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
