Lebanon, Indiana — Boone REMC will award 15 – $500 scholarships to students who are dependents or legal wards of Boone REMC members.

 

To be eligible, students must attend a post-secondary educational institution full time during the 2018 fall semester. The student may attend any two-year of four-year college or technical school. The scholarship applicant or a member of his or her household must be present at the Boone REMC annual meeting Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Lebanon High School to accept the scholarship. Fifteen scholarships will be awarded during a random drawing of all applicants.

 

To apply, students need to fill out a contact information form, read a short history of Boone REMC, and complete a 15-question, multiple-choice quiz. The application can be downloaded from the Boone REMC website. Visit www.bremc.com and navigate to “Youth Programs and Scholarships” under the Community tab.

 

The 2018 scholarship program is being sponsored in part by Boone REMC’s Operation Round Up program in order to increase the number of scholarships being awarded.

 

Someone from the household MUST check in at the Scholarship booth at the annual meeting in order to be officially entered into the drawing.

 

Students have three options for applying:

  • Email completed form to the REMC by Feb. 23, 2018.
  • Bring the completed form to the Scholarship booth at the annual meeting Saturday, March 10, 2018, before 10 a.m., at Lebanon High School.
  • Complete the application in person at the annual meeting between 8:15 and 10 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Lebanon High School.
