With profound sadness we announce the passing of Brian Watkins, our loving son, little brother, father and friend to all whose lives he touched, on January 10, 2023. He was 41.
Brian is preceded in death by his father, Fred. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Brian Coyne, mother Jerri Chase (Cleve), sisters Lisa Bivens (Dan) and Kari Dickerson (James), brother Matthew Watkins (Abby), and 8 nieces and nephews, as well as numerous relatives and friends that will miss him greatly.
Brian grew up the youngest of four children to Jerri and Fred Watkins in Bothell, Washington. Brian enjoyed being with his friends, music, the outdoors and sports (especially baseball). Brian followed his grandfather and father’s footsteps and enlisted in the army. After the military, he moved to Illinois and had lived there for the last 23 years. Brian was kind, loving, and cared deeply about his family and mostly his son. His smile, laugh and presence will be forever missed.
Services to be held at the National Cemetery in Danville, Illinois on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Final care of Brian has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
