Look around Zionsville and you will see butterfly wings popping up in our parks and local attractions. Eight local artists have painted large-scale butterfly wings that form Zionsville’s Butterfly Trail presented by Zionsville Parks Foundation. The wings serve as a fun backdrop for pictures and selfies.
The butterfly wings are inspired by the Town of Zionsville’s commitment to the National Wildlife Federation Mayors’ Monarch Pledge and a celebration of the Town’s conservation and environmental education efforts. Zionsville has preserved over 500 acres of parks, most left in their natural habitats. Mayor Emily Styron has also committed to saving the monarch butterfly and other native pollinators by signing the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge. The Butterfly Trail will continue through July 31, 2022.
