Carl Randal Reagan, 77, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at his home in Thorntown, Indiana. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on October 24, 1946, a son of the late Joe J. Reagan and Bonnie Lucille (Small) Reagan.

Carl was a lifelong resident of Boone County and was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School. After graduating he went to barber college in Indianapolis. Carl served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968, achieving the rank of Sergeant in the Medical Corps before receiving an Honorable discharge.

On July 24, 1970, he was married to Janet Lee (Martin) Reagan at Mechanicsburg Christian Church; she survives. Carl resided in Lebanon until 1973 before relocating to Thorntown with his wife.

Carl was a commercial line underwriter for Western Insurance from 1969 to 1986. In 1994 he began working at Amerisure in Indianapolis before retiring from Electro Chemical Coatings in 2002.

Carl was a member of Colfax Christian Church and American Legion Thorntown Post 218. He volunteered at Thorntown Elementary School and Witham Memorial Hospital. Carl found joy in the peaceful waters of fishing, thrill in hunting and creative fulfillment of woodworking. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his beloved family.

Survivors include his wife, Janet L. Reagan of Thorntown; children, Stacy A. (fiancé Michael Gideon) Reagan of Thorntown and Brian P. (Amy Marie) Reagan of Plainfield; grandchildren, Carli Reagan, Makayla Feltner, Caleb Reagan, Riley Reagan and Matt (Kendra) Rairdon; great grandson, Ryan Torres; sisters, Priscilla J. (Gail) Bolinger of Mechanicsburg and Charlotte L. Wire of Lebanon; brother-in-law, Charles Martin of Thorntown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Lucas; grandson, Nick Rairdon; sister, Rita G. Martin; and brother-in-law, Larry Wire.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services with Military Rites are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at the funeral home with visitation again from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.
