Charles Conyer, 72 (73 in horse racing years), of ­­­­­­Thorntown, died Monday, April 10, 2023 at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon.

Charles was born July 6, 1950, in Wabash, Indiana, a son of the late Wilford and Veda Conyer.

He married Debbie Ann Carneal, June 30, 1972, she preceded him in death on January 4, 2022.

Charles graduated from Harrison High School in 1968.  He owned Triple “C” Siding for over 40 years. He later owned and operated Charlie’s Pizza in Thorntown.

He enjoyed being part of the band “Villain’s”, horse racing, a good poker game, trips to the casino, IU basketball and fishing trips to Canada. He was a dedicated father and loving husband. He also enjoyed watching his sons play sports, racing BMX bikes, and traveling the Midwest to race dirt tracks. He loved watching his grandkids sporting events.  Charles was a member of the Dover Christian Church.

Survivors include his sons, Ryan (Stacey) Conyer and Craig (Katie) Conyer, both of Jamestown; grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, and Gabe; sister, Vicki (Wayne) Giesleman.

In addition to his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Don Conyer.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, April 13, for visitation from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Tulley officiating in the Dover Christian Church, 955 IN-75, Lebanon.
