Mr. Clifford Hale, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Clifford was born Jul. 4, 1934, in Rock Castle County, KY, son of the late Dewey and Maudie (Allen) Hale. He married Patricia Ann Lewis Sep. 20, 1952. She preceded him in death in 2004.

Clifford was an A-1 tool and dye maker and machinist, and worked for Commercial Filters, along with Air Hydraulics. He loved fishing and woodworking, along with camping, especially at his trailer at Raccoon Lake. Clifford’s family was especially important to him and he loved spending time with them. He was also proud to have his pilot’s license.

Survivors include his children, Terry (Marolyn) Hale, Teresa (Jerry) Hosfield, Gary (Judy) Hale, Darlene (Bobby) Arnold, Rhonda Tyree (fiancé, Kevin Beatty), all of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 7 great- great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Hale of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister, Virgie Taylor of Port Orange, FL; and girlfriend, Carole Stout of Waveland.

In addition to his parents and wife, Clifford was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Hale; granddaughter, Melissa Ann Hale; great granddaughter, Keiley Ann Ferrin; and brother, Johnny Hale.

Family and friends will gather Friday, October 29, for visitation from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Clifford will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Boone County Cancer Society or to the American Lung Association.
