When Jodi Gietl joined the Community Foundation of Boone County as the president and CEO in November of 2019, she had a crazy idea to recognize Giving Tuesday. For the second year, Gietl and her staff randomly selected 10 non-profits and then traveled around the Tuesday before Thanksgiving presenting checks for $1,000 each.
