Connie Sue (Anderson) Stevens, 60, passed away Fri., Oct. 2, 2020 at Witham Memorial Hospital.

Connie was born on May 18, 1960, the third child of Jerry and Delores (Bragg) Anderson. Together with her older sister, Stephanie and older brother Stephen, they lived on a small farm in Colfax, IN. In that special time, she developed a love for all animals and the responsibilities of farm life. Connie was active in 4-H and band throughout her school years. She attended Thorntown Elementary Schools and graduated from Western Boone High School in 1978. She graduated from J. Everett Light School of Nursing with honors.

Connie was a lifelong nurse, who worked 35+ years in the Lebanon community, starting at English Nursing Home and retiring from Parkwood Healthcare in 2015. She always held her patients as family, and their families became hers. Her love for life was the base of her dedication to helping others. Connie’s early farm and church years instilled in her a deep respect for all things. She truly loved everyone and in return everyone loved her. Her deep Christian faith was her strength throughout her life.

Family was always first, but her hobbies included: reading, writing in her journal, sketching, listening to music, watching movies and anything to entertain her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Stevens of Lebanon; sons, Craig (Leslie) Stevens and Andrew (Katlynn) Stevens, both of Lebanon; grandchildren, Harper, Reid, and Rosemary; brother, Stephen Anderson of Lebanon; sister, Stephanie Anderson of Tucson, AZ; niece, Lillian Hannah, of Florida; many aunts and uncles, and lifelong best friend, Robin Bush, of Lebanon.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 for visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. You are invited to visit the website www.strawmyerdrury.com where you may sign her online register and leave a personal message.
