About 40 residents gave consensus that the former Boone County Conservation Club property would make a good location for the possible future Deputy Jacob Pickett Memorial Dog Park during a public information meeting Tuesday. A dog park was not in the city’s plans before Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob Pickett was shot on March 2. But when a Facebook post from Lebanon resident Amy Bowman came to Mayor Matt Gentry’s attention, building a dog park rose in importance. More details found in The Lebanon Reporter.
