The Boone County Healthy Coalition revealed its new community health improvement plan that includes seven areas of focus on Wednesday. The last plan for the healthy coalition was created in 2015, and new data and new sections have been added. The priority areas include; obesity and physical activity, nutrition and food safety, mental health, tobacco and nicotine use, substance use, jail recidivism and chronic conditions such as cancer-related deaths and Alzheimer’s-related deaths.
