There are five Indiana Historical Bureau markers in Boone County — two for the Boone County Rural Electrical Coop, one about the creation of Michigan Road, one commemorating Patrick Sullivan who was the first white settler in Boone County and one commemorating the Indian cemetery in Thorntown. Saturday, the sixth marker was unveiled in a ceremony in the Boone County Courthouse commemorating Indiana Governor Samuel Ralston who got his start as a lawyer in Lebanon.
