David Russell VanTreese, 77, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at his home in Lebanon. He was born in Indianapolis, on September 4, 1946; a son of the late Russell H. and Donace (Maltsberger) VanTreese.

Larry was first married to Paula (Slimp) VanTreese, she preceded him in 2007. On April 25, 2008, he was united in marriage to Constance “Connie” (Hatfield) VanTreese in Indianapolis; she survives.

David graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis and attended IUPUI. He was employed for 34 years at Rough Notes as a computer IT in Indianapolis.

David attended Post Road Christin Church. He was a member at the Masonic Lodge and Young Republicans. David volunteered at a nursing home for 10 years in Indianapolis and sang in the German Maennerchor.

David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an avid reader. David attended over 50, Indianapolis 500 races with his father.

Survivors include his wife, Constance “Connie” (Hatfield) VanTreese; children, Hope VanTreese and Adam (Angel) VanTreese; grandchildren, Sky VanTreese and Rain VanTreese; brother, Michael William VanTreese; and sisters, Susie Clase (Frank) VanVelse and Becky (Rob) Rusterholz.

In addition to his parents and first wife, David was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Brian Donald VanTreese and Craig Allen VanTreese.

Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the First Community Church, 701 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation.
