On July 6 Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 215 S Elm Street in the Town of Mulberry for a welfare check.Deputies located Robert Keith Lipsett (57 years old) and Carrie Ann Hazelbaker (42 years of old) deceased inside the garage.
The Clinton County Coroner’s Office has determined the cause of both deaths to be gunfire. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office, along with the Coroner, have determined that Lipsett was shot from behind by Hazelbaker before she took her own life.
The investigation is on going as detectives attempt to determine a motive.
