Mrs. Denise Erlandson, 63, of Lebanon, passed away Dec. 1, 2020, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Denise was born Aug. 15, 1957, in Knox, IN, a daughter of Warren and Sherry (Shock) Burch. She graduated from Oregon Davis High School and pursued a career in speech pathology from Purdue University and Saint Cloud State University. Denise recently retired from the Indianapolis Public School System as an independent contracted speech pathologist. She was happily married to John Erlandson for 42 years.

 

Survivors include her husband, John; her two children, Aaron Erlandson of Colorado Springs, CO and Ashlee Erlandson of Louisville, KY; parents, Warren and Sherry; and two siblings, Deborah Troike and Randall Burch of Hamlet, IN; as well as many nephews, family and friends.

 

Besides spending time with her family, Denise had a passion for music, fishing, bargain hunting and traveling. This included her time spent playing the trumpet herself and watching her son continue her musical passion by playing the French horn. Additionally, she experienced many places around the United States with her husband and children on countless family vacations and trips to visit Aaron and Ashlee in their new homes. Denise had a strong presence about her that was undeniable and unforgettable. She had a strong passion for her family and her faith. She will be greatly missed by all.

 

A celebration of life is being reserved for intimate family members on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 however, the family requests that donations be made in Denise’s memory to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate/
