On August 2, 1974, he was married to Patricia (Leath) Kinslow in Thorntown; she survives.
Dennis had attended Thorntown High School. In 1974, he began his employment with CSX Railroad as a track maintenance foreman and retired in 1995.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he loved his family dearly. Dennis was an avid card player and enjoyed playing cards so much that he played with the same group of people twice a week for over 42 years. In addition, he was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lebanon.
Survivors include his wife: Patti Kinslow of Thorntown; son: Jared (Erica) Kinslow of Thorntown; grandsons: Dylan (Shelby) Kinslow of Frankfort and Noah Kinslow of Thorntown; great grandson: Beckett Kinslow; brothers: Delmar L. (Beth) Kinslow of Indianapolis, Terry L. (Beverly) Kinslow of Darlington, and Michael B. (Melissa) Kinslow of Colfax, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by two infant sons, David and Grant; and a brother, Darrell L. Kinslow.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 858 West 250 North, in Lebanon, Indiana, with Pastor Merv McNair, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Myers & Hunt Mortuary of Thorntown is handling his arrangements.
Memorials may be directed in his memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
