Glenn Sparks has several photos of his Chihuahua, Shorty, on his Facebook page, including sharing a profile photo with the 3-month-old pup. Last Thursday, Sparks watched his pup be attacked by a medium-sized, mixed breed dog that was running loose in the Hoosier Estates trailer park. Shorty was brutally attacked by the dog and eventually died from his injuries. Monday morning, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Officer quarantined the dog while awaiting a court proceeding. For his part, Sparks suffered an injury due to the leash cutting into his hand during the fight. He never even left his yard. More details in the Lebanon Reporter.
