Dolores Ruth Goodman, of Lebanon, passed away July 1, 2021. She was born in Los Angeles, California on November 3, 1931, the daughter of Erich and Louise Plumyer Hanneman. She married Roland Hackett on July 31, 1950. She was a big city girl, who learned to love the farm and took pride in being a farmer’s wife.

Roland passed away in 1976, she then married Donald Goodman on October 3, 1983. She and Don enjoyed traveling, bowling, gardening and their dogs. Don passed away in 2002. Mrs. Goodman was a blessing to those she met as a volunteer at Witham Hospital for over 30 years. She was a past member of Fairview Christian Church and currently a member of Trader’s Point Church of Christ, where her faith grew and friendships were cherished. The family would like to express their appreciation to Suzan Burnell, for her friendship, encouragement and love for Dolores, over the years.

Dolores was deeply loved and will be missed by many. She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Powers, her stepson David Goodman, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, Dolores was preceded in death by two sons, Bob and Byron Hackett, one granddaughter in infancy and her brother.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 2:30pm on Thursday, July 8th, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Strawmyer and Drury Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Witham Health Foundation or Boone County Senior Services.
