On August 11, 2021 at approximately 6:48 AM, Lebanon Police Officers responded to the 300 block of Jameson Street in Lebanon, Indiana on a domestic disturbance. While on scene officers were advised a male identified as Cody Walker, 32 of Lebanon, pointed a firearm at the caller and then left the scene in a silver in color SUV.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle traveling on Lafayette Avenue in Lebanon, Indiana. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Lafayette Avenue and Powell Street. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, Mr. Walker brandished a firearm on numerous occasions, pointing the firearm at the officers and himself. The pursuit continued northbound on Interstate 65 and ended at the 190 mile marker in White County, Indiana.
After a brief negotiation with LPD Ofc. Hampshire on scene, Mr. Walker surrendered with no further incident.
Mr. Walker faces preliminary charges of resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle, pointing a firearm, intimidation with a firearm, and interfering with a 911 call. Police Department, Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office, White County Sheriff’s Office, Brookston Police Department, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, and Farney’s Towing.
