Donna Jean Parker, 73, passed away Monday night, April 20, 2020, at her home in Lebanon, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 5, 1947 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, a daughter of the late Walter E. and Norma Lou (Buckingham) Trent.
Raised in Boone County, she was a 1965 graduate of Granville Wells High School.
Donna had lived in Thorntown for 19 years and moved to Lebanon in 1998 where she had since resided. She had worked at Speedway in Lebanon and managed the Speedway in Zionsville. At one point, she was employed by the Homestead Inn in Dover and part-time for Lo-Bob’s Tobacco.
A devoted mother and grandmother, her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She loved to garden, plant flowers, and feed and watch the birds and squirrels.
Survivors include, her companion, Dan Tirey of Lebanon; three daughters, Tammi L. Harris of Frankfort, Christy D. (Gene) Ford of Lebanon, and Alicia K. (Jay) Johnson of Indianapolis; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Gary S. (Sandy) Trent of Lodoga; sister, Betty J. Russell of Jamestown; half-sister, Betsy Thomas of Arizona; sister-in-law, Sandy Trent of Jamestown; and brother-in-law, Bill Johnson of Advance.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Jill Parker; stillborn son, Anthony Leland Parker; son-in-law, Clint Harris; brother, Danny E. Trent; sister, Judy A. Johnson; and brother-in-law, Donald Russell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
