Dorothy Denise (Bailey) Baumgardt, 51, of Darlington, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
Dorothy was born June 2, 1971, in Lebanon. The daughter of Benjamin and Patsy (Hale) Bailey. Dorothy married Robert “Bo” Baumgardt Jr. on May 26, 2010.
Dorothy graduated from Western Boone Jr. Sr. High School with the class of 1989. She worked at Electro Chemical Coatings and also Relizon Business Forms. Since getting married Dorothy worked along side her husband pouring concrete for their own business. Dorothy enjoyed camping and fishing, along with walking in the creek and gardening. She truly loved her kids and her granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bo” Baumgardt, Jr. of Darlington, Daughters, Haley Culley and Kayla Loyd, granddaughter, Tezlynn Johnson all of Lebanon. Daughter, Alyssa Baumgardt of Naples, Florida. Son, Anthony Baumgardt of Michigan City. Brothers, Bill (Jenny) Bailey of Darlington, Robert Bailey and Mary Ackman of Brownsburg, Tommy McCann of Huntsville, Alabama. Sisters include Becky Tunnell of Lebanon, Barbara Yates of Thorntown, Terrie (Tony) Wines of Thorntown, Sherri (Robert) Wines of Darlington, Tracie McCann of Huntsville, Alabama and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her father and mother, maternal grandparents, Joe and Minnie Hale, paternal grandparents, Ivan and Dorothy Bailey. A niece, Bailey Ann Speer and a brother-in-law, Kirk Yates.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Final care of Dorothy has been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
