The driver in a deadly crash in Boone County is expressing remorse. Thirty-four-year-old Matthew Small was the semi driver that hit at least 8 vehicles in I-65 on Sunday. He tells police he was distracted when grabbing his coffee cup while driving. Small is charged with three counts of reckless homicide after a 21-year-old, 19-year-old, and 1-year-old died in the incident. In a handwritten note, Small says his heart and prayers are with the families and that he is in agony over this whole ordeal.
