Edna Elaine Bunch, 94, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at her home in Zionsville. She was born in Hammond, Indiana, on August 21, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles Earl and Edna Fern (Schwarzentruber) Muhlenbruch.
She was married in Whitestown, Indiana to Claude Raymond Bunch in 1973; he preceded her in death on December 23, 2022.
Elaine was a member of the Indiana Shrine Horse Patrol and Eastern Star in Whitestown. Elaine was also a member of the Zionsville American Legion Auxiliary for more than 50 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Elaine enjoyed fishing and was a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Notre Dame football, never missing a game.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her four children, Karen (Ron Williams) Marsh of Knightstown, Robert Knox of Zionsville, Lynn (Richard Norman) Knox of Bedford, and John (Gloria) Knox of Lebanon; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine was preceded in death by five children, Dord Buckmaster, Robin Buckmaster, Charles Buckmaster, Jeff Knox, and Alainie Cone; and two sisters, Earlene Shultz and Lois Coghill.
Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana.
