Emily Ann Crawford, 37, passed away on July 28, 2021, at her home in Indianapolis, after suffering over 10 years with multiple autoimmune disorders. She was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on July 25, 1984; a daughter of Charles Craig and Terri J. (Nelson) Crawford.

Emily was a 2003 graduate of Lebanon High School where she was very active in many clubs and organizations. She earned a degree in early childhood development and worked for several childcare facilities while in high school and college. She received an associate degree in American Sign Language from Vincennes University and the Indiana School for the Deaf and was very close to achieving a bachelor’s degree from IUPUI. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon.

Emily loved her family and loved life. She was generous, kind, patient, and full of love. She was overjoyed to meet the love of her life, Jeremy Wood, and they were planning their wedding for later this year. She will be greatly missed.

Emily leaves behind her parents, Craig and Terri Crawford of Lebanon; sister, Amy J. Crawford of Lebanon; fiancé, Jeremy R. Wood of Indianapolis and his daughters, whom Emily loved as her own, Mackenzie Wood and Ava King; maternal grandmother, Doris J. (Milton) Douglass of North Fort Myers, Florida; uncles, Scott (Kathy) Crawford of Indianapolis, Tim Nelson of Lebanon, and Tom Nelson of Fort Myers; aunt, Sherri Lane of Greencastle; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward and Vera Crawford, and maternal grandfather, John B. Nelson.

Private memorial services will be held. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with her care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Interstitial Cystitis Association.
