Esther M. Britt, 77, of Lebanon, IN, passed at 1:43 p.m. on April 28, 2020, at Brownsburg Meadows.

She was born on January 21, 1943, in Chillicothe, OH, a daughter of Earl and Hazel Detty. She married Donald Britt on January 14, 1962, in Chillicothe, OH.

Surviving are one son, Jeff (Jamie) Britt of Oregon, WI; one daughter, Stacey (William) Shock of Lebanon, IN; four grandchildren, Jared (Michelle) Britt, Jonathen Britt, Emma Shock, and Samuel Shock; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Gavin Britt; two sisters, Sarah Greathouse and Mary Sue Gale; one brother, James H. Detty; and sister-in-law, Loretta Detty.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Earl Detty, Jr. and Everett Williamson; one sister, Margaret Lewis; cousin, Barbara Beatty; aunt, Edna Johnson; and grandmother, Sarah Wonderleigh.

Esther worked many years at JCPenney until starting up a family run True Value store. Once retiring from the business, she worked for McDonalds, which she truly enjoyed. Esther enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but most of all, her grandchildren. She enjoyed going for walks, watching movies, and having a good laugh, and she always had a big smile on her face.
